Just wanted to give a quick shout-out for this autumn's line-up of
community-organized Linux-related events:

The Central Pennsylvania Open Source Conference, CPOSC, is scheduled to be
held in Lancaster on Saturday, November 1st:

The Ohio Linux Fest is scheduled to be held in Columbus October 24-26:

That same weekend, Seneca College in Toronto is again hosting the Free
Software and Open Source Symposium, October 23-24:

This one is a bit further afield, both geographically and thematically, but
for the more infosec-minded amongst us, Derbycon will be held in Louisville,
Kentucky, September 24-28, 2014:

LUGOR regulars have attended events in Toronto, Ohio, and central PA before,
so if you're interested in sharing travel costs, let folks know through the

The Southeast Linux Fest is held in June in Charlotte, NC.
